About Us
Providing quality care since 1987, ANCORA Compassionate Care is a community-based, mission-focused hospice and palliative care provider - and the only full-service provider based in Rockingham County.
The majority of patients that we care for live in Rockingham County but ANCORA Compassionate Care also serves patients in Caswell, Guilford, and Stokes counties. With several hundred years' collective experience in the hospice field, our staff is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in providing end-of-life care.

Life Walk 2025
ANCORA's volunteers invite you to join them on April 26th for their 19th annual benefit walk. Life Walk 2025 will begin and end at Reidsville Christian Church (2020 South Park Dr, Reidsville, NC). We will have a DJ, free face painting, and Ronni’s food truck - better known as Big Red - will be on site, offering great food for purchase after the walk. This will be a day to celebrate all stages of life’s journey. Registration fees are $35 for walkers over 13, and $20 for those under 13. Registrations must be received by April 11th to guarantee your preferred t-shirt size. For more information, contact Kim Bunker, Volunteer & Events Coordinator at kbunker@ancoracc.org or (336) 427-9022.

ANCORA Compassionate Care is very proud to say we have never had to turn away a hospice patient due to a lack of insurance coverage or ability to pay. We would be unable to make this claim, however, without strong community support in the form of gifts and donations. Gifts to ANCORA help support our mission in the community through hospice care, serious illness care, and our newest service line, our counseling center.
ANCORA Compassionate Care is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, therefore donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. To explore the ways you can support ANCORA Compassionate Care, please Click Here.
Ancora's newest project is our resale store, The Robin's Nest. This is our resale store, with proceeds going to support our various programs in the community - including hospice care, serious illness care, grief and bereavement support, and our new counseling center. We accept donations of gently-used items, including clothing, home decor, furniture, books, puzzles, and artwork. For more information about The Robin's Nest, call Kim Bunker, Volunteer & Events Coordinator, at (336) 520-8670.
The Robin's Nest is located at 8380 NC 87, Reidsville, N.C. We are open Wednesday - Friday, 10:00am - 5:00pm and 10:00am - 2:00pm on Saturdays.
